Pooh And Piglet Thirst For Blood

It’s been a long time since a live action Winnie-the-Pooh movie has graced the silver screen. The last one, Winnie-the-Pooh and Tigger Too!, was released way back in 1974. But now, after a 49 year hiatus, Pooh is back, and he’s brought some friends along for the ride. Eeyore, Piglet, Christopher Robin, and the rest of the Hundred Acre Wood gang are all here in this new movie, which takes a decidedly dark turn from the cutesy source material.

Winnie-the-Pooh: Blood and Honey is a slasher that follows Pooh and Piglet, who have been plaguing the Hundred Acre Wood. The plot is twisty and turns more than a few times before reaching its conclusion. There are betrayals, double-crosses, and more than a few surprises along the way. This is definitely not your childhood Pooh Bear; this is a blood-thirsty rabid boar who’s not afraid to get his hands dirty. If you’re looking for a light hearted children’s movie, you’ve come to the wrong place. But if you’re in the mood for something different, Winnie-the-Pooh: Blood and Honey just might be worth checking out.

Winnie-the-Pooh: Blood and Honey is a far cry from the cuddly children’s character we all know and love. This new take on Pooh Bear is darker, grittier, bloodier, and more adult than anything we’ve seen before.
